Westbound wide loads greater than 12 feet wide must use an alternate route due to the 12 foot width restriction at MP 66 WB. Headed up to Mt Spokane to enjoy this late summer weather. Eastbound wide loads must stage by 7:00 am (MST) at mile post 78 (East of the Petty Creek Exit 77) in the signed dead lane of I-90. Monday through Friday mornings, loads greater than 12 feet wide eastbound must stage by 7:00 am (MST) to be piloted through the project at the signed staging areas. Two-way traffic is set up in the west bound I-90 lanes with a 12 foot width restriction for eastbound traffic, and 12 foot width restriction for westbound traffic. Current Road Status: Single lane traffic with speed reductions down to 35 mph in the EB and WB lanes mile post 78 through 82 with 12 foot width restriction in both directions. The following road construction project is in progress: narrow_lanes with minor delays, reduced speed limit, and width limit 12 ft until further notice.

To access the Gateway lot, turn right on Telemark Road at the chicken foot and left onto Northwest Passage. There is a bridge replacement project taking place on Northwest Passage throughout the summer that will affect access to the Gateway parking lot. This will provide a separate climbing trail from the snow making pond to the summit and will follow the naming pattern that Bear Grass is downhill only and High Point is uphill bike only/multi use. We have reclaimed the section of trail on the east side of the ridge from the summit to the snow making pond and that will now be High Point (climbing allowed/recommended). The section of upper High Point from the summit to the snow making pond is now be called Bear Grass and is for DOWNHILL TRAFFIC ONLY. Direction/Name Change on upper High Point trails.
